Will attending a NJ Governer's School Program add to your chances for admission to Princeton?

don’t apply if you’re trying to build up your resume; there are people who will want to attend for the academically enriching aspect of the schools, and it would be a shame to rob them of that opportunity just to fill in a spot on your Princeton application.

My son is interested in Princeton, but his SAT’s (660 CR, 720 M, 740 W)are not high enough–don’t want to encourage him if his Governer’s School program (which he loved) will not help. We’ve been through college apps before–and advise our children to only apply to schools that best fit them.

ignore my comment than… I thought he hadn’t yet even applied to the program.
Yes, the governor’s school will undoubtedly add to his application; usually, any summer program that is free and competitive is considered prestigious. It will help him especially if it shows he has an interest in one specific area (say he attended the Gov. School of Science, and has other science related EC’s, it will show a passion for sciences). The SAT’s are a tad low for Princeton, esp. if he is unhooked; has he considered retaking?
