Thank you so much for that post. It was very informative. Anyone out there know what the timeline is for the governor's school of the arts for filmmaking? Arts is different, and I'm not sure that filmmaking is the same as the rest of the arts. Has anyone else on this board been nominated for filmmaking?

Just got notified I made it past preliminaries.

if anyone got into the Gov School of Sciences, can you guys tell me your stats and EC's that got you in? just so i get an idea because im gonna apply next year. thanks. or i can talk on aim.

Redwood, I went to NJGSS in 2005, if you care to PM me about stats.

Il Bandito, what division and how were you notified?

Sciences.

By electronic mail.

Very interested in the NJ Governor's program but have a major yet basic question: Is there a limit as to how many students one HS can send to any one Governor's school?

yes - the number of students a school can nominate is based on the size of the class - the range is about 1 - 3 students for each gov school area.

and the apps were due in december...

Asking regarding next year. Thanks.

So imagine this... a top student would love to go to TASP but knows the chances are incredibly slim. So the student applies to NJ Governor's School (better chances of getting in) and makes it. Then lo and behold, the student miraculously gets into TASP. Would I be led to believe that his or her HS and County Board of Ed would be PO'd?
