Well, I called them, and it seems as though I've been waitlisted at #2. This really stings. Makes you wonder where along the process you screwed up to come close, but not close enough. Besides, what does this mean about my college chances?

You dont have a bad chance of getting in, I'll see who i can push down the stairs so they cant go. congrats

Haha, thanks for the help...as long as it doesn't request in one of us being arrested :p . Oh, and congratulations on getting in (I was apparently too bitter last time to remember even this much...). What are your stats, by the way?

man..come on...one person....crosses fingers

hmm... asian females gettin' accepted... i think they're biased against asian males then... lol

rutgers never sent me anything yet. I'm so anxious. any other rutgers applicants recieve their decisions?

my stats? hmm
PSAT: 217 80M, 71V, 66W
SATII Physics 800, chemistry 780, math iic 780
AP Calc AB 5 (self study), Physics C Mechanics 5, Phys C E&M 4 (self study)
My recommendations made me sound godly
I am competent in 6 languages.
Class rank 8/716
Essays, good i think.

lol I'm an asian male btw.

i meant for science lol

can people who got into sciences please post their stats. I got waitlisted and I want to see why.

cautious, keep me updated as to whether you get in or not okay!

this might sound weird..but I am waiting for my penn gov school info and at the meeting for the semi-finalist round for creative writing they said both accept and reject letters were thin..was this true in your cases?

icyfire, I've already posted my academic stats ... I don't think extracurriculars had much to do with acceptance into sciences, but I also started my own quartet (I'm first violinist) two years ago, and before this year I was a preprofessional dancer. Otherwise: 236 PSAT, 800 SAT II Writing, 800 Math IIC, AP Scholar (5/5 Micro/Macro, 4 World History), Class Rank 2/316.

Kittie_rocks, my acceptance letter was quite thin. Three papers, regular envelope. My friend, who got rejected to public issues, had an extremely thin envelope, with one paper.

... For all of you who got in: I sent in the reply sheet a few days ago, and still not confirmation email that they got it and whatnot, as I think they mentioned in the letter. Have any of you gotten the said email?

hey yeah asian (indian) male here too...I finally got my letter.

dude you are GODLY lol all those AP courses and SAT IIs already? damn I did 215 PSATs and like class rank is top 5% and well my reccomendations were pretty good and essays I think pretty good. But now that I see that people who applied had like above the norm stats...it figures why I got waitlisted. But anyway congrats on getting in man, enjoy it.

talk to me on aim some time...gimem some tips for Physics SAT II, I'm taking them in june. took a practice got a 760...and its definately seems viable to get a 800 easy considering teh curve.

mvplivinlarge <-- aimsn

peace

Just adding a random comment:

I too have considered taking the Physics SAT II ... except I haven't learned anything about electricity or magnetism ... or some other topics in my frist year physics course this year ... but the curve is so tempting! I'm signed up for Chemistry SAT II instead, since I'm in second year chem and we've covered all of it, but it seems quite hard ... any input anyone?

I got a 5 on ap phys and an 800 on sat ii as a sophomore, if anyone has questions IM me at stevezilla1088 cause i <3 physics.

haha. The curve for the SAT II physics is so, so tempting, as I said. I took the test in the Real SAT II's cold today and got a very pretty score, so ... I might take it over chem, or with chem ... I'll figure it out.

Anyways, I got my confirmation email, so I'm set for sciences. I think I'm seeing some of you there?!

NO DON'T TAKE IT CUZ OF THE CURVE!!!! i got a 5 on the ap exam but a 690 on the exam... how's that for curve?

I thought it was much easier than chemistry

cujoe? i did better than that without studying, though, so ... um ... i think with a few hours of studying and practice i might be able to whip out a very, very nice score.

the hardest part about chemistry are those ... T/F/CE questions. Killers to me.
