<p>Hard to say, really. There are no official numbers out there. Last year when I applied, though, I think everyone from my school who applied to any GS made it to state level (county: middlesex).</p>
<p>Yeah, I think head gc meant that everyone from our school advanced. But advancing IS an accomplishment, forget what the gc's think. </p>
<p>The guidance counselors at my school are ridiculous, anyway. Only one of them even KNOWS about gov school.</p>
<p>ohh well there's no use obsessing over it now b/c we dont find out until march anyway.</p>

<p>CautiousPessimism - do you go to EBHS? I can't think of any other good schools in Middlesex. :P My school is half in Mercer and half in Middlesex, but we're considered Mercer for Gov School, which probably hurts us since we're up against PHS, L'ville, Steinert, etc, but almost all our nominees make counties and almost all our finalists make the program.</p>

<p>I suppose it is. She was talking about how kids in Morris and Sussex are extremely competitive and cutthroat, so it's not a "shame" if we don't get in.</p>
<p>Seeing as how there were a bunch of posts in the juniors' summer program thread about NJ Gov School I figured we might as well revive this thread.</p>
<p>To answer someone's question, I didn't receive my decision yet and the administration at my school hasn't received an email as of 1:47 this afternoon.</p>
