What are some good schools that are in this area? Besides the really hard ones to get into; I am looking for the 'very competitive' schools, instead of the near impossible to get into. Currently, I am applying to TCNJ and Rutgers, but I was looking to also apply out of state, I just don't know the schools as well. Any ideas?

Also, I am looking to do something with the sciences, if that helps with schools at all.

Temple, USP, Penn State, Pitt, Cuse, Lehigh, Lafayette, Allegheny, SUNYs

thank you :)

franklin and marshall, bucknell, villanova, suny binghampton, drew

I wouldn’t say that some of these are “very competitive”; where do you draw the line between “very competitive” and “near impossible” to get into?

Cornell, Colgate, Vassar, Hamilton, Bucknell, URochester, RPI, Union, Skidmore, Haverford, Villanova, Gettysburg, Dickinson.

muhlenberg, bard, ithaca, nyu

Note that not all SUNYs will fit your bill. If you are interested in a competitive school with good sciences, I would limit my search to SUNY Binghamton, SUNY Stony Brook, SUNY Buffalo, and SUNY Geneseo. In Pa., also check out Allegheny - oops, already mentioned.

PS- although it is a little out of your indicated region (by about 5 miles!) also check out U of Delaware. Cleveland is not too far away either, and you might like Case Western Reserve.

By definition impossible = 0% admit rate
So some schools you should consider are Princeton, Columbia, Penn, NYU, Swarthmore. All have admit rates >0%.
