NJIT/SGU medical program....... worth the risk?

Hi!

I have been accepted into the NJIT/SGU program and am on the fence on whether I should take the opportunity. Right now, it is the only medical program I have been accepted to. I know if I attend, I will aim to get out of the program by taking the MCATs and applying to other medical schools. But our graduating class seems to be extremely competitive and this will only carry forward at the graduate level.

Has anyone actually attended SGU through NJIT? Any suggestions? Reviews?

Is anyone planning to join this program this year?

I have quite a few friends who went through the same program. Some are now at UMDNJ (now called NJMS), some are at SGU. The work is tough, but they all survived and seem pretty happy. Most of them had active social or campus organization lives. Unfortunately I can’t give you any direct advice about the program, but if you’re getting decent financial aid and you’d like to get out of school faster, this is definitely an option.
