Hello all!
I looked all over CC to find a thread like this, but i had no such luck.
I have been accepted to both NJIT and Rowan University for their Chemical Engineering program. This weekend I visited both colleges. I am having a hard time deciding between the two.
I would like to know, based on your experience, how prepared did you feel upon graduation in comparison to your peers who graduated from other places?
Would you say that the NJIT and Rowan ChE programs/structure are very similar, or is one of them superior?
Were the professors supportive and attentive to your needs?
Overall, which do you believe would provide me with the best preparation without feeling miserable for four years?
At NJIT I would be able to commute everyday, but at Rowan I would have to dorm, which right now seems a little hard since I do not want to leave my dogs (i know it seems like a trivial matter, but I would not be able to go home every weekend since it is a 2hr drive each way). On the other hand, Rowan seemed like a much happier place and students showed a greater sense of belonging. NJIT focused on the great internship and co-op industry opportunities students have been offered.
Thank you for helping out an utterly confused girl on this college journey!
