Hi, I’m new and I wanted to have other people’s input about my decision because at the moment I’m confused. I thought I wanted to go to NJIT for the past few months and I was dead set on it until I got a phone from the head of the ECE department at Rowan. At the moment the money situation is not in the equation but I do want to see myself having a job and making the money that I need to survive. I’ve been to NJIT but I haven’t been to Rowan because of the COVID- 19. Rowan has been sending me countless emails about interacting with the department with the incoming freshman but I don’t get much from NJIT. Also from a few people I know, they say it’s hard to get work after graduating NJIT. At the moment I’m confused on where I should go to and I would like if any of you guys have inputs or stories you would like to share with me to help me? Thank you!
Both are excellent programs. It really depends if you want to be in an urban North Jersey campus or a Suburban South Jersey Campus.
I know nothing about NJIT except not an area I’d like - totally personal preference.
I’m a Rowan alum and my son is finishing his junior year there. Great residential campus, beautiful new housing and STEM facilities. Their engineers have great job placement. Rowan Blvd has everything you need in walking distance. They run bus trips to Philly, Rowan After Hours activities on the weekend. Definitely a great pick for engineering at a reasonable price.
