NM Semifinnalist Packet-Do I have to put same intended major that I put on the PSAT?

On the National Merit form, it asks me to put my intended major and career choice. I put something totally different on my PSAT form for my intended major; is it okay to change it?

Because when I saw the NM press release, I saw that they put a number next to my name that told what my intended major was to be (according to my PSAT form).

However, on this form, I want to change it...is that allowed or do I have to stick with what I put on my PSAT form?

You have to stick with your first choice. Furthermore, if you’re awarded a NM scholarship, you’re obligated to major in that in college and pursue your original career choice upon graduation.

And yes, I’m JK - you’re fine to change it to your current thinking. No negative consequences.
