NMF Housing Scholarship

any chance UA gives out a stipend instead of making NMFs live on campus? Seems like the right thing to do considering they are constantly running out of room for the freshmen.

I have a feeling that parents of 2013 NMF scholarships aren’t particularly receptive right now to feelers about converting the guaranteed four years of housing generously offered to NMFs before 2013 to off campus housing stipends. However, to answer your question telekinesis, in prior years when housing was tight, the University has offered students the ability to move to off campus apartments leased by the University to house scholarship students (with the caveat that these students had to live with others who were under contract to University Housing and not with students who wanted to contract with the facility independently) and in the severe housing shortage of this year has offered junior and senior female girls a housing stipend to find their own of campus housing for this year only.

Tele…Do you mean for this next Fall 2014 frosh?

No…Presidential II will be open so there will be more housing. Besides, the issue this year wasn’t a shortage of 200+ honors beds, the issue was that a few more needed honors beds were needed, which were handled by getting a few upperclassmen to move elsewhere.
