<p>I am a semifinalist and hope to become a finalist. I applied to alabama in august and got my acceptance letter last week. I was wondering when I would be notified about the NMF scholarship. Also, will the scholarship pay for more than 16 hours?</p>
<p>Not sure about the timing of the letter, don’t remember. The scholarship will cover up to 20 hours, but you will need an exception to go above 18.</p>
<p>When you’re named a finalist, then you’ll be awarded the scholarship. Right now, you’re a NMSF (congrats), so you don’t yet qualify for it…but you likely will in February. </p>
<p>You should get a notification about the Presidential soon…have you gotten that yet?</p>

<p>DS got his letter congratulating him on his NMSF status and explaining the NMSF and NMF scholarship offerings from UA on 10/2 or 3. He had received the Presidential offer about a month earlier…applied right at the end of August.</p>
