NMS cutoff predictions for class of 2018

Sorry she did not make it, @melvin123 . But no doubt she will have other fantastic opportunities!

Good on her, @melvin123! Fantastic attitude. =D>

Yes, thank you very much! @JJ5963. You made my day!

Thanks @vistajay and @suzy100 . I really think that any of our kids who scored well enough to be worried about this will do just great with other merit options. Good luck to everyone!

@JJ5963 Thanks for the information! If 219 makes it in Ohio, my DD is in. Now comes the wait for her friend, sitting at 217…@shelleee

we are in- DD got a 219!!

Thanks @JJ5963! Congrats! Great to hear on Ohio and congrats to those 219 and over!!! Come on 218:)

if 219 is a good number for OH. I still feel like I need to see it to believe it…

crossing my fingers and my toes for you @bradsmom!

Thanks shelleee!!! We may very well have missed by one point, but for now I will keep hoping:)

Texas update - someone with a 220 made it! Now to see if it can go to 219…

@TexanIndian

Anybody else waiting on Georgia? Hoping for some homeschoolers or kind guidance counselors to come through soon. My D’s guidance counselor will be of the “Oh we won’t know that until September” variety, I know, so I haven’t even asked. My D is at 220.

Wow! If 220 made it in TX our school will likely have record numbers of NMSF! Thanks for posting @DiotimaDM feeling very safe with DS’s 221 now.

@shelleee I know what you mean about needing to see to believe. Hoping that tomorrow principal or GC will tell DS they received the letter, but hasn’t happened yet. I just won’t be able to feel certain about it until that happens. At this point I can tell myself if 219 is safe in Florida and Ohio, both of which are always higher than KY, then 219 has to be safe in KY. Plus Art had a single poster named “Ron” say that his kid made it with a 219 in KY, and Art put it up. Makes you feel better but it isn’t “certainty”. Do I have trust issues?

Any word for SC? No news from school yet but I scored a 219…

Same here @3scoutsmom, on both your points. My inner worrier really needs to see more Texas scores posted and that new one really helps! Also, anecdotally my S seems to know a lot of people who scored over 220 at his school. But his particular class has been an outlier on standardized test performance throughout high school so maybe that just carried over to their junior year PSAT.

Congratulations to all whose scores made the cut and hugs to those who didn’t, though I agree anyone in the running has many opportunities ahead of him/her!

Jimmie the Intern, Please inbox me if there is any way you can steal The Book. I’ll explain in the inbox. Please and thank you! ^:)^

Texas at 220 is the first score to post that is below Art’s predictions. Seems a surprise that Texas stayed fixed while almost all other states went up a point or two.

@traveler98 if it’s 220 for Texas I am certain that his will be a year with no C’s at all in Texas, heck they may even have to look at kids with B’s to get to their target number. It will be interresting to see how many NMF spots Texas gets this year I’m thining that we’ll have more than last year and CA will have less.

@FLteacher thanks!! hope you guys get it as well!
