I am the parent of a senior applying to colleges who just got selected to be a National Merit finalist. Even though he put down on his applications that he was a National Merit semi-finalist most of whom get selected to be finalist, is it necessary to send this additional information to the schools he is applying to? If so, what is the best way to send this to University of California schools? Thanks.
No need to send it on. Schools know that 15000/16000 NMSFs make finalist. The ones who don’t usually have a blemish on their record or never finish filling out the paperwork because the schools the will attend don’t care.
