i was just made aware of a kid today that is nmsf at the moment. needs to find a school for little $$. will probably also qualify for financial aid.

wants to major in music.

alabama? auburn?

is it too late for a kid like this to apply and get scholarship at alabama or auburn??

He can certainly apply, but a scholarship is not guaranteed. There is a thread somewhere on CC that gives a list of schools that offer NMF scholarships and may have later deadlines.

[Top Scholars Program - The University of Alabama](http://scholarships.ua.edu/topscholars/faq.html)

on that website, (last question), it says that your friend should still apply to the university of alabama and IF he gets finalist status he will still be eligible for their aid package: which is basically a full ride minus about $1,500.

When I talked to Carolyn Rogers, it was quite clear to me that UA makes exceptions for NMSF’s. I don’t believe the Dec 1st will really apply.

But, he must apply now, since the scholarship application will be taken down online soon.

Oklahoma Christian University? Small school with burgeoning credentials…
They are very generous with merit aid.

now that you’ve said that he’s not NMSF…are his ACT or SAT high?
