Hi,
I am Hai. I registered for the ACT to sit for it in United Nations International School of Hanoi today. But the security guard said that they haven't been informed by any organization that ACT will be administered today.
I can not understand this case. What can I do now to sit for ACT ?

Are you sure this is the right date to take in Vietnam? Contact the people in charge of ACT test-taking, act.org and use those numbers I guess.

I tried to call ACT (1 319 337 1270). However, after connecting to ACT agent 5 times, he and she always said that they could not hear me. I sent 2 e-mails through actstudent.org but they didn't respond ??? Could anyone in USA call them to ask for the issue that why I registered for taking ACT in Vietnam in 14 June 2008 in UNITED NATIONS INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL Hanoi Code 870060 but in test center, security guards said that there aren't no ACT here ???
I really appreciate any aid from CC members ! Thanks a lot !

They can't hear you? Try using other phones, not really sure if we can call and help, wouldn't do much help since they may do other things to schedule for another time or so, etc.

Thank for your response. I have just tried to call and successfully talked with ACT agent. They told me to write a letter to them and they will check my situation.
P/S : I tried to send question through form in actstudent.org 2 days ago but they didn't respond to me.

coming from a viet to a viet... that makes me really sad that you were deprived of the chance to take the test. Good luck!

I hope you will send the letter. You should include a copy of your admission ticket if you can. Also, you could try to contact someone at the test center and explain what happened, and try to find out if you were in the right place at the right time, or what.

Don't despair if it takes a while to hear back from them. If you were at the right place at the right time, ACT will need some time to get ahold of the test center and find out what happened: they might not even know yet whether the test was given as scheduled. There is a 12-hour time difference between Hanoi and ACT, which makes communication difficult for businesses. Plus ACT headquarters is located in a current federal disaster area, so they may be understaffed.

I think they will probably let you take the next test for free, but unfortunately the next one is in October. If you do sign up to test again, try to talk to the test supervisor at the school before the test date to get directions for where exactly to go, what door to use, etc. Get there early and bring the test supervisor's phone number and the phone number of someone at ACT so you can call them if something similar happens.

I'm waiting. That's fine !
I really appreciate all of CCer's comments. It actually makes me feel better !
