Couldnt help but check one more time before Monday. My daughters status remains unchanged, “completed preliminary review”, same as its been for the past month or so.

here’s what I’m thinking will happen tomorrow

the however many hundreds of students that are affected by this glitch will all call at 8am, they’ll realize there will be a problem, they’ll fix it and we’ll all be able to log in and finally know what our decision is.

Did anyone call and get an answer from Admissions about this?

They told me that me along with many others should have an answer by Thursday or Friday

BLine - did they say what the problem was?

I spoke with admissions. They said my daughter self-reported an academic conduct issue from 2 years ago. Now it has to go to some committee for clearance. She reported this to all other schools she applied to. They all cleared her long before decision. Don’t understand why UF would wait until after decision day to now say it has to be cleared. Now have to wait for some undetermined period of time.

Bline,
Is that decision for dual enrollment students?

jdtrombone, no, it is not for dual enrollment students. I live and Gainesville and went to the admissions office today. My status said this:

Thank you for submitting an application for admission to the University of Florida. Since you are receiving your AA degree or 60 credits in addition to your high school diploma, we will be reviewing your high school performance, admissions essay, college GPA, and the completion of prerequisite courses for your major, along with other pertinent information.

Your application has received a full review at the freshman level and we appreciate your patience as we continue to evaluate your application for admission at the transfer level. In the meantime, please check the information below to ensure that all application materials have been received by our office. If you have sent information to us recently, please allow time for processing.

We will post your decision here as soon as it is available, so please continue to check your application status for updates.

Sincerely,
Office of Admissions
University of Florida

This means that you didn’t make the freshman cut and are now being considered as a transfer student.

I don’t believe it was for dual enrollment, it was a separate part of my application they said.

I called the Office of Admissions today and they said they were releasing decisions today after 5 and they should have all of them released by next Wednesday. Tell me if you received a decision because I’m getting the same message as well.

I had to resend my transcripts, for this past fall term. So, I’m guessing I won’t hear back until they have my updated grades…which will probably be next Monday.

Btw it sucks waiting.

did you get in?

Decisions are posted on Feb. 08 at 6 p.m for all the high school seniors that applied by the nov. 1 dealine, just a couple weeks left until decisions!! Best of luck , I also applied there.

WOW my fault, this thread is 2 years old!!! lol

As a prospective student receiving your AA degree or 60 credits in addition to your high school diploma, we will be reviewing your college GPA, and the completion of prerequisite courses for your major, along with other pertinent information for transfer admission. Your major is very important in the transfer review process. Please contact the Office of Admissions immediately if you need to add or change your major.

We appreciate your patience as we continue to evaluate your college-level coursework.

Sincerely,
Office of Admissions
University of Florida

What exactly does this mean? and did anyone with this message get in?

Tina, I had that message before. But I was accepted today no problem, so I’m not sure why that is still appearing for you

Anyone know what that means? It’s the only message that appears when I check my status?

I got the same thing as well.
I hate waiting several months to find out that I have to wait even longer.
I just want an answer!
I have no clue what to do!

Call or email uf admissions, that’s all you can do

That message means the university could not offer you admission as a freshman and is now going to see if you are eligible fore transfer admission. You get two bites of the apple since you are getting a full freshman review and now a transfer review. Your application status will change this coming week and let you know if anything is missing to move forward with your transfer decision. I realize this isn’t what you wanted to hear but you are going to need to wait a bit longer to get your decision. The colleges work hard to make them as quickly as possible for dual enrollment students and you normally hear long before “regular” transfer students.
