No AP chem and get a good Sat subject test score for chem

I am taking regular chem and I am studying using barons. If I just use barons and do not take ap chem will I be fine on the test? Also, just how bad is the curve.

I took the test after honors Chem with a lot of studying and got a 710. (used Barrons)

I then took it after AP with absolutely no studying and got a 740.

The curve is pretty good. Simply Google SAT Chem curve, and you’ll find plenty. If I remember correctly, the Barrons book had the most accurate one, but I’m not so sure.

You’ll be fine.

My cousin took it after Honors Chem with only a week of studying and got a 780. I’m going to study for longer than that, but I’ll be taking it in June along with Math II.

I took honors chemistry last year, didn’t study (but took 2 practice tests), and got a 740. The curve is pretty decent - you can always retake after AP Chem if you don’t like your score, too.
