No AP Course, but AP test?

[rising junior]

I am not in any APs for my Junior year (my school offers English, Global and Art for Juniors and I dont care about any of them, although i applied to english and got rejected). I am more interested in math and science related subjects, so I thought I could look into online AP courses. My mom is willing to pay for them, but when I asked my school if it would appear on my transcript, they said no. I got kind of ****ed, but really if I take the AP test isn't that what matters? (AP Statistics)
i do plan to take them in senior year because thats when the good ones are offered.

also:

should I be concerned that I am not in APs Junior year? I have about a 3.7 UW , take college courses (BUSINESS) at Baruch CUNY (in another attempt to make up for it and I think Baruch has a really good business program) and I want to apply to USC, NYU, UMIch ... under a business major.

-my math teacher went to USC Marshall --which is where I want to go-- and she said she'd write me a reccommendation. Would it help me a lot that she wwent there?

-is the AP statistics test hard?

AP stats test is not hard from what I've HEARD.
AP is definitely possible to do without a class though it takes hard work.
I know someone who took the AP Euro test without a class and got a 5.
it all depends. its the same test.
i dont think colleges will care. if anything it'll look more impressive. it means you studied on your own. hard work.

the starred stuff was
'synonym for pee' + ed

i was thinking the same thing! doesnt it seem like im hard working and i will do whatever it takes to do what i want to do/?

I wouldn't be too worried about the lack of AP classes junior year, especially if your school doesn't offer them. If you really want to be in AP courses though, is it possible to get specially permission from your school to be in the senior AP courses during junior year? If not, taking the test without first taking the class is perfectly fine (that's what I did, my school didn't offer any AP courses). Also, in terms of difficulty level, stats is a relatively easy one to self-study.

Self study calculus.

There is a thread about this:
