No AP English Lit Senior Year

My school runs on a semester schedule, so we start with new classes in January.
In August, when I was setting up my schedule for the entire year, I had no conflicts. But when I had to make a small change last week because enrollment for a new class finally opened, I found out that teachers' schedules for next semester changed since then.

Schedule (as intended):
Computer Science II Honors (Intended to be AP Comp Sci AB, but not yet approved)
AP English Lit
AP Calculus BC
AP Physics C

Schedule (as would appear after changes):
Computer Science II Honors
English IV (Regular Level)
AP Calculus BC
AP Physics C

How would my new schedule look for top colleges? Would they take issue to it? Could I receive hassle from University of Chicago, where I was offered early admission (my SSR included AP Lit)? AP Lit at my school is a joke, and I'd learn much more from Computer Science, Calc BC, or Physics C. I'd rather not drop one of these courses to make room for AP Lit.

I scored a 5 in English Lang last semester, if that makes everything look any better....

Thanks.

As long as you explain the situation to them/get your counselor to (that's probably best because it's official) they are likely to understand.

what did you score on Physics B?

I think it should be alright. Send a letter ASAP explaining the situation and then have your college counselor call or fax or mail a letter to them explaingin how you can't take AP English. Im pretty sure they will understand.

Thanks. I spoke with my dean today and she did allow me to drop to regular level English if I did additional work and pledge to take the AP Lit exam (which I was going to do anyway).

I talked to the regular English 4 teacher, and since she also has a couple of AP Lit classes, she told me that she's going to give me all of the AP work instead of the regular work.

My counselor is going to include all this in my mid year report, so colleges should see it there.

I just took Physics B this semester, so I can't take the exam until May.
