No AP's offered..

hi..i live in Australia..and i dont think we offer any AP courses at school..so doesnt that put me in a bad position..if i want to go to a university in the US?

No way coz most intl's don't have access to AP's and still get thru (especially we Indians).

I think as long as you are challenging yourself in school (i.e. taking advanced courses instead of regular level courses) you'll be fine. Also, the universities understand that international students might not be offered AP (after all, AP is American based). Is IB offered at your school?

If you feel courses offered at your school equivalent to or close to AP level, you can just register for the exam and take them. Otherwise, you can self-study and take the exams.

My school offered precalc with a little bit of calculus. I self-studied the rest and did the BC exam and got 5. Physics classes here don't use calculus, but I self-studied Physics C concurrently with CalBC. I took programming courses here in C language and took the computer science AB exam in Java. Self-studying AP is just doable.
