No AP's...

<p>Is it a horrible idea to pursue Vanderbilt and avoid AP classes on purpose? Our school does not have a weighted GPA or class rank and I don't want to become one of those people on a chances thread that has to put an excuse next to their unweighted GPA.</p>

<p>Your school will provide a profile relating what classes are available as part of your application. The admissions office will know that you have not challenged yourself by taking the most rigorous curriculum. At all selective schools that we visited (including Vanderbilt), the admissions officer who conducted the information session named this as one of the most important factors in their evaluation of your applicaiton.</p>
