No APUSH; 800 SAT II?

So basically, I'm not in APUSH but i signed up for the AP exam, and am going to take the SAT II in June. I know nothing about history except the first 6 chapters of AMSCO, because that's what I've read. Is there anyway i can get a 5:800? I plan on reading AMSCO once, doing ~2 practice exams (one being an official AP exam, and the other a CB USH exam), and basically reviewing every concept that I'm struggling with/I got wrong on my practice exams. Has anyone successfully self-studied APUSH and got a 5:800, or something close to those scores?

P.S. How difficult/easy are the question on each exam; how specific are they?

Thanks in advance.

I would say that it’s certainly possible, but I’m curious as to how much you’re really self-studying; is it that you’ve never taken a USH class before or that you’re taking one that isn’t designated AP?

Well I’m in an APUSH class right now but the only reason i said that i wasn’t is because my teacher is so horrible, it’s like i’m not in one. We get no homework, all of her tests are online so we never have to read a chapter, and she basically gives us stupid projects to bring up our grades. My self-study will be to read through AMSCO and do a couple practice tests. From the 6 chapters i’ve read i understand a LOT, so i don’t think the memorization will be too big of a deal.

bumppp
100

if you self study enough and are a decent test taker, you can get a 5 no problem. however, 800 for us history is extremely hard to achieve. certainly not impossible, but you will have to read more than 1 prep book and more than once. good luck!
