<p>According to the officer, it matters regardless which major you’re planning on.</p>
<p>I looked at the requirements for the college of humanities and social sciences and says it only requires one year (two or more preferably).</p>

<p>The colleges I’m applying to don’t require it for admissions.</p>
<p>Of course they don’t require it, but you’ll be at a noticeable* disadvantage.</p>

<p>Don’t take it at your own risk. Not wanting to take it simply because you don’t like it is not a good reason, especially that Biology is considered a fundamental class for the top colleges.</p>
