No Bursar Bill

I'm an incoming freshman, and I still have not received any billing information. I did receive a pretty hefty financial aid package, but shouldn't I still have received some billing information? Has anyone else not yet received theirs?

there will be no paper bursar bill...

have you set up your cornell email address?

check your email or

jtf.cornell.edu

or uportal.cornell.edu

Yeah, I set up my Cornell e-mail address, but I never got anything. I have checked jtf, but I'm a little confused. On the first page it says "Due now" and says $0.00, but in the future due portion, it says something like $25,000 (I'm guessing for second semester). When I click on account inquiry, however, it gives me more of a summary and tells me that my total due is $4,000 dollars (I guess because my FA doesn't quite cover my meal plan, health insurance, and part of my housing). Do I have to pay this before I register at orientation, or can I wait a bit longer?

yeah you're supposed to pay that...

you can enroll in a payment plan...or you can pay out of pocket and then ask for an increase in funds...

Sorry, this may be a dumb question, but what is an increase in funds?

And does anyone know the deadline for enrolling in a payment plan?

it passed. you can enroll in the 5 payment plan for springs tuition, but the 12 and 10 payments for the year, and the 5 payments for fall tuition have already passed.

Cornell University Pay My Bursar Bill Using Net.Pay

crap I have a similar problem as Peeople89, I haven't checked my Cornell e-mails in a quite a while. I just checked and signed into Bursar and it says the money I owe is due TODAY! holy ****. I hope I get it in today. What will happen if they get the money like a day late? will I not be able to register for this semester?? help

I'm just a little confused because on jtf, it says $0 on owe now, but if I click on account inquiry I actually have about $4000 of charges not paid because of the meal plan and health insurance. If it's not due now, when's it due? Can I pay those things second semester beacause my tuition and housing are already paid by financial aid?

what? It changed. Before it said owe now was zero and future due was $25,000, but now it says I owe $21,000 now and $4,000 due in the future

@trickster2k4: I heard if you are late, there would be 1.25% interest or $350 fee.. Check bursar.cornell.edu for the information.

@Peeople89: It changed because it's supposed to due on the 8th. Here is the deadline: Cornell University Billing Deadlines

goootcha'. Thanks so much. Somehow, I never got the bursar link, I just thought we paid at orientation. I guess I'm late with my payment (which I'm making now). I think the only thing that'll happen is that they'll charge me an apr of 1.25%, right? It says I only owe $286, though. That along with my financial aid covers my tuition and housing, but when am I supposed to pay the health insurance and meal plan?

@Peeople89: I'm not sure. I read somewhere before about getting charged for $350 if you are late for paying (the registration). I'm guessing they are waiting until the 17th or some time around that. It could also be the 22nd when we go to the orientation and people start using their meal plan.

Maybe the person who was charged that owed the full tuition amount (didn't have FA) and so the 1.25% charge was close to that? I dunno, I just paid it, and I think it accepted it as the payment being made on the 8th (now it just says paid in full, it doesn't say anything about any penalties, and when it asked me the payment date, it had 8/8/08 written in it. Is sallie may 'stationed' in the West Coast? It wouldn't be midnight there yet). but yeah, I guess I should expect to have to pay the price of the meal plan by the time school starts.

Oh, and thanks for all y'alls help!

ugh, brain fart! Today (Friday) is August 8th, isn't it? That would mean that I made my payment on the due date, barely missing any late charges.

Peeople89: Why don't you just look at the details of your bursar bill and see if you are charged for meal plan and health insurance? That way you will know about any incoming charges.

On JTF I am charged for meal plan and insurance (waiting for that to be waived), but on my bursar bill it's not there. I paid last night the amount on the bursar bill, which is about 4,000 less than what is on JTF. Am I going to get a late fee?

No you won't be billed a finance charge. You are good as long as you paid your bursar bill.
