No campus visit?

Hello, I'm a rising senior thinking about applying to harvard, yale, princeton, dartmouth, upenn, stanford, among others. (I haven't done any college visiting) This year, I have a summer program outside the U.S. that'll take up most of my summer, so I won't be able to visit any colleges. Also, my senior fall term will be very busy, so I probably won't have a chance to do any college visiting. Would not visiting the colleges have any effect on my application?

Not to those schools no, I'm fairly sure none of them look at demonstrated interest except for their respective early options for the ones that have them, since to put it bluntly they don't need to.

However seeing that list, I do suggest you find some good safeties that you would also be happy going to if things don't work out with you're top choices. There are many fine academic schools, and less expensive schools if money is an issue, that aren't quite as difficult to get into as the ones you mentioned and you need to apply to them too as backups.

They only school I'm applying to that I've visited is UCLA. Honestly, I can't afford to visit the East coast so I can take pictures in front of the pretty buildings.

Good luck visiting Stanford and Dartmouth on the same trip... :)
