<p>My chemistry teacher told me there's no Chemistry Olympiads test this year... Is this correct?</p>
<p>Are there any other science/math tests I could take? ...Because I did pretty well on the ones I took last year (compared to people at my school anyway), but my school isn't very... good... so they don't know anything about anything.</p>
<p>There is definitely a Chem Olympiad this year. The national exam will be given on April 27. In our region, and I'm pretty sure by now across the country, the local exam has already been given. (The local exam is used to select the students who will take the national exam.) I don't know of other chem competitions, but you could check artofproblemsolving.com for information on math competitions.</p>

<p>Email them and ask....we are not olympiad specialists...or call them up...</p>
<p>your teacher could have lied, he could have been misinformed, it could be no olympiad for your school this year</p>
<p>When my D was in 7th grade, her school said there was no speech contest at this other school, well there was, and my D was able to go solo. after much drama (sutpid school)...it was just that the teachers were too "busy" to participate or deal with it</p>
<p>The HS where the contest was had no idea Ds school was not participating...</p>
<p>So it may be possible to compete or whatever...but call them up and ask...</p>
<p>iin, check with your local ACS section as soon as possible. As wjb said, most sections will probably have completed their administrations by now, and if not, probably will do so in the next week or so. My section's was last week (=> me = semifinalist:) ).</p>
