Pretty much true for CC. Lots of science/engineering classes meet Fridays (generally less so for upper-division), which is lame. But half the class won't be there on any given Friday.

Some classes like entry level foreign languages also meet on Fridays, but they're usually low intensity.

this is my second semester and the only class i've had on a friday was a chemistry lab i chose to have then (could have taken it at night during the week if i wanted)

i dunno if C2002 and i have just had vastly different experiences or if they have changed drastically in 4 years but not many of my seas friends have friday classes either...

Even counting recitations I only know of 1 that has met on fridays (freshman orgo)...

other than some language classes, i really dont think many classes meet fridays

eighth semester over here and never had class on friday....and i'm an engineer, dont know what C2002 is talking about.

I actually looked up a couple of the classes that I had that were M-W-F, and they're all now M-W. I never had more than one class on a Friday, but I think I had only a couple of semesters where I didn't have any Friday classes. And I tried to avoid Friday at all costs.

They probably did change things. As Skraylor says, I had fresh orgo on MWF, and it's not even MWF anymore.

Actually, one smaller class I had was MWF for 50 minutes and the students and the prof agreed just to go an extra 25 minutes on M and W to entirely avoid Friday classes. The profs hate them just as much as the students.
