No clubs

Ok, I've been wondering if this is going to kill me. I am in absolutely no clubs at all, well sort of ski club freshman year, but I bet no college will care.

Will colleges be ****ed off? I don't have a job either, but I do play sports all year round. My practices are right after school at the same time all the clubs meetings are, this season I am doing two sports and as much as I want to join clubs I just can not find the time. So will I be looked down upon by colleges(lower schools, no ivies)

Thanks.

Aren't sports clubs?

I have no clubs. Shouldnt matter.

the sports should work as replacements for clubs. it's not really "clubs" they want, it's just ECs. They want you to do things outside of your classes.
of course, unless you're already a senior, joining a few non-sport ECs could help.

try doing some community service also...it'll help

yeah. community service is a lot better than clubs.

yup yup it shows people that you care more about what happens to people in the community than i dunno....other stuff (wow that was intellegent)

oh yes. very intellegent.

very true too though!

haha sarcasm is mean...im intellegent enough to recognize it!

try maintaing a job for 2 years instead of community service. Because honestly community service accomplishes nothing! Unless its cleaning.

not really true, we did a fashion show to raise money and saved enough money to build a new and safer playground for a buncha kids

yeah, community service can accomplish a LOT more than a job. I had a job for close to a year, but I couldn't stand it any more becuase it was so pointless.

Thanks guys, I am going to try and do a lot of community service or get a job this summer or once the season ends.

hmm well waht we do here is just volunteer, nothing ambitious. just get some hours at a library, or a hospital, or clean the beach. Nothing as well organized as you guys.
