<p>Yes, the admission rate for ED is higher. But I'm not sure this necessarily means that, given the same credentials, your personal chance is any better with ED than with RD. Aren't the average credentials for ED applicants supposed to be higher, which would explain a higher admission rate? If it is clear from your app and interview that it is your first choice (assuming it turns out to be), this will help you as much as an ED application. My gut feeling anyway. Feel free, anyone, to show me I'm wrong LOL</p>

<p>It would be difficult for me to advise you on a choice of Brown versus Carleton. My daughter is attending the first, my niece went to the second. Both love their schools.</p>

<p>Have you done all the research possible at this point -- read everything on the schools' web sites, checked out web sites like studentsreview and campusdirt, read the entries in the "what these colleges are like" books at your local book store, watched the videotaped tour for Carleton you could get from collegiatechoice?</p>
