No Coalition Essay for USC?

My daughter started some applications through the Coalition site and the USC application does not have a place to upload an essay per the Coalition prompts. It does have a place to upload unofficial HS transcripts but not an essay. I am aware that if invited to apply for Honors, essays will be required, but at the general application stage is it correct that USC does not want the Coalition essay? I do see they have a personal statement which the school may prefer.

My daughter is using the Coalition app as well. I believe that you are correct. No essay required for the regular application.

I believe there is a personal statement of 250-1000 words.
