It has been FIVE days since I sent in my application to William & Mary via the Common App website and I have still yet to receive a confirmation letter or ANY indication that I sent in my application to the college. As a matter of fact, I received an email from the W&M admissions office yesterday telling me that It “appears I have not yet submitted my application.”
I’m on edge right now because I sent in the application a day before the deadline but all else indicates otherwise. Is there a number I can call? I really need to get something done ASAP.
I’d wait for one week (two more days) after submitting the app to follow up. It should arrive any minute now, try to relax.
Did you pay an application fee? Do you have a receipt for that?
Does it show up as submitted on Common App? If so you should be good! When I applied to William & Mary, it had the same issue. Usually it takes a couple days to process and they will email you if anything is missing. If you are still worried about it, you can call the admissions office tomorrow morning. But you really should be fine. I wouldn’t worry about it being late or anything because they just extended the deadline.
Anyways, it all works out! Since then I have been accepted and officially part of the William & Mary family
According to the Common App, my application is still pending. It’s been nearly 6 days so I probably will ring up the admissions office tomorrow, esp. given that the Common App’s technical support is nearly nonexistent.
