I sent in my application [supplement, recs, the works] three weeks ago but I've yet to recieve any confirmation. Should I start worrying and call them? Or is this WF's usual policy?

wow, we were just talking about that tonight!! My S still has to submit his supp app. but everything else is in. We have not received a word from them.
Could be that they were busy with the ED apps.

Hey guys, hope this is a help-
I applied early decision on October 22. They sent a quick email confirming that they had received the payment and online application. Just to put things in perspective: on Novermber 9-ish I received a letter from Wake Admissions saying that my application had been received and was ready to be reviewed. The decision should have been sent out either yesterday or today.
Not sure where you live Swordmaiden, but here in Ohio, we've figured out that it takes about 8 days for NC mail to reach home. Therefore, your time sent can be knocked off a few (16 in my case) days to make up for mail time back and forth.
If you're really anxious about it, call admissions. When my mom did, they were super-friendly and understanding (I was too nervous to do it myself :) They gave us an approximate date of hearing back, decision, everything.
momsworried, I know what you mean with the apparent lack of communication. I think that's kind of their policy, could be wrong though. I know they're trying to finish EDs ASAP to allow some time for the kids to make decisions, etc.

Best of luck for everyone!!!!!!! Hope you guys hear something soon

I called admissions today also and they were so nice and helpful! I definitely recommend calling to check your admission status.

Hey everyone, just got a defferal letter from Wake today. I applied ED in late October. I have 670CR/700M/670W for SATs and am very involved (NHS VP, History NHS, Student Council Executive Board, Varsity Golf, Varsity Basketball, and a bunch of community service). Its kind of disappointing not being able to know I am into a school yet for next year, hopefully I will get an acceptance from Wake this spring. I wish all of you the best of luck with your ED decisions.

Jtfair ... where else are you considering?

Im applying to U Richmond, Clemson U, Boston College, Fairfield U, Duke U, Notre Dame, and UVA all regular decision.

Lots of fine places including a couple "safes." Good luck!

VJP723!
Thanks for being so encouraging.. I'll definitely do that when I apply RD.

Jtfair - so sorry to hear about the deferral, but I'm sure you'll be fine come March. I have a friend who had similar scores as you who got deferred but was accepted in regular decision, and loves it now. Sounds like you have quite a few great alternatives to Wake, hope everything works out.

gnc2773, calling is a great idea, especially to make sure everything gets there safely in the mail. They even told us the exact dates when my things arrived and when they would be reviewed, which is really helpful.

WhistlePig, I remember you telling me you would be at Wake next year. Just curious, but are you a transfer?

best of luck to everybody as well

Wow Jtfair that is almost the same college list as my own

Haha nice. Do you live in Mass? I go to King Philip in Wrentham

Jtfair33 -- slightly off topic, but did you go to KP Middle School, too? My family is good friends w/ a Phys. Ed. teacher (Mr. M) there. Oh, and my daughter is a soph. at Wake.

Yeah I'm from Mass, Reading High School right outside Boston

Haha I did go to KP MS and I do know Mr. M, good guy.

Every time that I called the admissions office at Wake Forest while I was applying, they were extremely happy to help. (unlike the Boston College people who were obviously annoyed that I was taking time away from their busy schedules) There was some filing error with my merit scholarship application, so it never got processed, and I didn't find that out until after it was too late. I had called to confirm that my normal application was all in, but I didn't call about the merit scholarship one, which i really regret now.

Call! You aren't inconveniencing them, it is their job and they want to help you.
