It looks from the OSU web site like you get credit for AP US Govt, AP US history, AP Micro Econ, AP Macro Econ, AP European history - but not World History? Sigh. Why not?

JJG, you're probably looking at the link found in the thread "AP Credit." I just checked it and you're right, it doesn't seem to show AP World. But OSU has recently been revamping their website so I wouldn't be surprised if it was left from the list. I've always used the link below to check the credit for AP classes:
http://www.ureg.ohio-state.edu/ourweb/Tests/TestsContent/CurrentEM.pdf

It shows the credit for IB, AP, and CLEP. World History, by the way, is on the list. Here:
World History
*History 181 (5 credits)
*History 182 (5 credits)
Score Needed: 4 - 5
Credit Received: 10

If you're still not sure, try calling the admissions office and asking directly. But considering OSU also accepts AP Psych, I would say you're okay with AP World.

yes, OSU does accept AP World credit. I visited last week (very successfull; more on that elsewhere), and an honors program advisor told me that they recently decided to give credit for the class.

That being said, I took the class last year, and it is very close to being an utter waste of time. The reason it is not a total loss is college credit.
