I must unfortunately decline the bet KB. I really don't mind going forward with it. But in truth, I am privvy to insider information that gives me the edge in this bet. As such, I would most likely...and unfairly, win the bet. Let me put it this way...for Michigan to have an acceptance rate below 42.5%, we'd need to have a better than 50% yield rate. It is possible, but not likely.

if my app was completed in february, and I still haven't received notification, is it likely that I was rejected? I have fairly strong stats, the only thing hurting me is my sat score really....

Still nothing, and it's been nearly three months now..

Denied students generally hear pretty promptly. Generally speaking, the students who have been waiting a long time are facing either an eventual admit letter or a waitlist letter.

It seems like taking two months to make a decision at a rolling admission school is, ipso facto, a waitlist.

I think you might be confusing "Deferral" with "Waitlist"

If someone applies in October and doesn't get in until January, that's being waitlisted? I don't see it.

I completed my application 12/10 and still haven't heard anything...not even a defferal...Do I have cause to be worried?

I would call the office of admission to make sure that they have your application. And, when you call, have your application verification with you. If there was a mistake, you'll want to be able to prove that you applied on time.

I got in today to LSA - undecided. Everything was received 12/21. I am OOS, 3.92 uw gpa, and 1280 sat/28 act.

under "view application status" on my wolverine access screen it says...

"Admit Term Academic Career Academic Program Application Nbr Application Date

FA 2006

Undergraduate L S & A

Lit, Science & Arts UG Degree

00621260

01/17/2006"

it says "Admit Term: FA 2006".. does this mean i'm accepted?

can anyone clear this up for me

No, when you are accepted there is a link that will say "View Decision" and when you click on it, it will have the decision right there

o alright thanks

View Decision link = acceptance

o so what about when ur rejected/waitlisted?

you just get snailmail

Mich takes forever. At this point im not expecting to hear until mid april.
