Has anyone else gotten this message? I applied a long time ago, I’m confused as to why there aren’t any decisions made. Is this a bad sign and does it mean I will be rejected?
Please help.

yes. what is your intended major? I’m still waiting for comp. engineering.

No news is good news.

how can you be sure if no rejections have come out yet?? I only hope it doesn’t mean a rejection

In all honesty, hoping for an acceptance when no rejections have been released is better than freaking out.

that is true. I feel a little at ease now after the admissions office told me that the order in which they accept people is completely random- I’ve been hearing from people that they were accepting people by majors

bio major…

Still waiting as well and I hope admissions is random, I dont see how people would know how they admit people unless they worked in admissions.

still waiting too. :(

psych transfer from LA area.
3.6 GPA

Mechanical Engineering 3.6 gpa transfer

im still waiting and also a bio major…

this wait is killing me!!!

what does no determine mean?.. sighhh

From previous years, people were accepted in Early February and Late March. The portal saying “No determination has been made yet” does not mean anything in terms of admission. It only means they simply haven’t made a decision yet.
I know some people who were accepted Early February 2011, and a few people who were accepted on March 30th 2011. Do not worry because the admissions come out, as hard as it is to believe, randomly. Those of you waiting are NOT rejected.

Also, Cal Poly does not waitlist the very qualified candidates, despite what has been said on CC.
Good luck to everyone waiting!

Collegeaspired, you’re dead wrong.

They accept some very qualified candidates. I know a few people with phenomenal stats (2300+, 10+ APs [all 5s], top 1% of class, etc.) who were waitlisted while less qualified applicants were admitted.

Basenne-I believe you mean they waitlist, not accept, some very qualified applicants in the context of your sentence.

I am getting more and more scared of getting rejected. I hear from some students that applied last year that people who have been told no determination, got rejected on March 15. Hopefully that is not true, I myself have a no determination. This waiting sucks. I got accepted to SDSU and CSLB, but what is taking Cal Poly so long?
Aerospace engineering. Transfer.

Has anyone gotten any rejection letters yet??

Yes, one of my son’s friends received a rejection letter. It was very sad because his father is an engineer and graduated from Cal Poly so getting into Cal Poly engineering was always his dream and the kid has great stats. My son and two of his other friends have been accepted. My son into Industrial engineering, one friend into Business(early decisioning) and the other friend into Business on regular decisioning.

Basenne,
Calm down. I meant to say they don’t waitlist EVERY strong applicant. Yeah, there are certain people with higher stats that get waitlisted, however, some of these applicants do get accepted/rejected. Just like in EVERY other college, admissions are very random.
