No direct deposit?

For some reason, I checked my bank account for the direct deposit money, and it was never transferred over. I'm beginning to slightly freak out, if anyone has any info, can they please enlighten me?

Some people have told me they got their direct deposit 4 days ago, and I still haven't seen anything transferred.

Help is appreciated

hey, well my cousin is having the same problem. she received an email saying that if she didint get the money within two days of the email sent, she should call the ppl in charge of that. idk why it would be taking so long, i got my deposit a couple of days ago.

Have you officially received a notification (message in your portal) that a direct deposit has been released? If so, how long has it been since you received the letter? And have you checked your bank to see if there are any pending deposits?

I spent over an hour waiting in line to find out that during the PLUS loan application my dad had marked that he wanted to receive the refund, so its probably in the mail at home.

That was an hour well spent >.>

Anyways, thanks for the responses guys.

Huh, how weird. Then again, I have no PLUS loans and I’m the only one dealing with my finances for school so this is nothing I have or would run into. Interesting that one can override the direct deposit set up with the PLUS loan application.

I can’t imagine having the check sent. Direct deposit is so much safer and faster. I’d talk to your dad about that and maybe have it at least sent to an account of his instead so there isn’t a waiting period for the check. Not that I don’t trust the mail… but I don’t trust the mail. Not when it comes to money that is usually needed for books and supplies, at least.

I’m glad you got it figured out what happened, though :)
