My son submitted his UC application on November 16th and hasn't received any email confirmation from UCLA or UC Santa Barbara. He received confirmations from UCSD, UCI and UC Davis. We've heard of many people already receiving their confirmation from UCLA. Is anyone else in this situation? He applied as an Engineering major.

When I applied in Fall 2008 I don’t think I received an acknowledgement until January. I wouldn’t worry about it for a while.

When I applied, I don’t remember getting a confirmation e-mail from UCLA. I applied to most of the UCs (including SB) and I got confirmations from all of them except UCLA. I wouldn’t worry about it.

Daughter has received an email from UCLA (they were the first to contact her) but not UCSB.

I got an email from the university of California application site acknowledging my application to UCLA & giving me a UC ID # six days after I submitted my app & got an acknowledgment from UCLA eleven days after applying saying they had received my app. But I’m applying to theater so I don’t know if the timing is different

I am in the same exact situation as the OP. I only received email confirmations from UCSD, UCI, and UCD. Now I am waiting on UCLA, UCB, and UCSB.

I seems very arbitrary as to UCLAs confirmation email. I guess we’ll call after the holiday. Thanks for everyone’s replies.

Same here, I applied on November 30, received email confirmation of the application on January 5, and received the acceptance email on March 11.

My son applied on November 9 and has confirmation from UCSB, UCSD, and Davis, but not Berkeley or UCLA. Seems random, may be due to volume.

My student applied UCs last year. The first acknowledge from UCLA was sent by the UCLA Alumni Association about scholarship on 1/14.

I submitted my application on November 2nd. I’ve gotten my confirmation email from UCD, UCI, UCR, and UCSD. Just waiting on UCLA now. I called in about a week ago, they said not to worry. Sometimes it takes longer for some people to get their email. The guy on the phone told me they already received mine on November 11th. Just check on your UC application page to see when they forwarded it.

Hi, I submitted UC apps to UC Berkeley, UCLA, UC Irvine, UC Santa Barbara, UC San Diego, and UC Davis. I think they were forwarded around the 23rd of November, but I have only gotten confirmation e-mails from UC Irvine, UC Davis, and UC San Diego. I have not heard back from the other three yet and I was wondering when I should give them a call to check? Also, for the MyAdmissions thingy that some of the UCs do, do I need to fill out my fall semester grades or can I keep them as “In Progress” and let them see them when I give them my final transcripts?

I applied for freshman admission to UCLA for Fall 2011 Quarter, and I did not receive a confirmation email from the admissions office until mid-January, 2011.

Son called UCLA and they said that they are sending the emails in waves, and not to be concerned. He received an email notification from UCSB today.

I applied around November 28th to LA, SD and Cal. I heard from the former two within a week but haven’t yet received confirmation from Berkeley. Wonder why.

Btw I just received an e-mail from Berkeley. I checked the UoC website again today and they say people receive confirmation of application submission in the vague time period of ‘early January’ so, to those who haven’t received confirmations yet, I don’t think you should worry too much.

Daughter received an email from her last UC, UCSB, yesterday.

I’ve gotten all e-mails except for UCLA. Also, for GPA Verification, is that just for financial aid or is it something needed for the uc schools?

My son received an email from the UCLA Alumni Association inviting him to apply for the Alumni scholarship, so looks like UCLA received his application :-). Anybody else?

I believe all undergraduate applicants received that email.
