No email confirmation

I submitted both my Andover and Exeter applications on the 15th and I’m yet to receive some sort of email confirmation.

I’m assuming that this is because I haven’t submitted my financial aid materials.

Is this a valid reason as to why I didn’t receive the email confirmation?

I assume it’s just because they are swamped with all the files coming in but I’m not sure.

I haven’t gotten a confirmation either and I’ve submitted everything for Exeter

^^Ahh. I thought that those emails were sent automatically.

@YoungThriver call them to find out thats what I did

Aren’t the all greens on the Gateway “checklist” page for your applications all you need to know?

That being said, I’m asking the question rather than making a statement since it’s the first time we’ve used Gateway.

I emailed Exeter and Hotchkiss regarding this and they explained that they are still processing documents so they are unable to immediately send an email but will do so once they finish.

It did not occur to me that I should be expecting an email confirmation. Hmmm. Haven’t gotten one from any school.

I just received an email from Andover that my application wasn’t complete. They have been sending me emails almost every day.

Hey guys. I’ve recently received my email confirmation from Exeter.

@YoungThriver sorry to hijack your thread, but I was wondering if you submit your current grades. I submit everything but my current grades (they dont come out til February 7) and I haven’t gotten an email confirmation (from Exeter).

@ThomasBr I submitted my quarter 1 grades and half of quarter 2.

Semester one ends next week and it would be too late to submit those grades.

For all of you:
Yes, Gateway is great. But, AO’s still have to go on and physically ensure everything meets their requirements. Thus, they don’t send any confirmations until this is done. AND, given how many things they just got swamped with, it may take a few weeks even for them to sort through everything. Just be patient. As long as you have green checks, that’s all that really matters.
