I want to be an engineering major, but Is it a problem if I don’t have any engineering related ECs? I’m going to be a junior and would really like to continue with my service-oriented ECs (and track) where I have leadership positions and am heavily involved, but this means I won’t have time to do robotics, which I also would really like to do. I’d rather stay with what I have been doing, but will I be at a disadvantage if I don’t do robotics or even math team? I’m going to try and intern next summer at a construction company but I’m not sure if that’s enough, btw
The vast majority of top engineering schools will admit you not for your ECs but outstanding performance in math & science. Stay focused on track. You’ll be fine.
No. Most important are math and science courses, GPA, and test scores.
