what about linear algebra, discrete math, programming?

my friend applied from ccc and can’t see it
3.4-3.5
polisci

jetforge what you think my chances are?

all prereqs done + 4 upper div math and 1 upper div econ classes
3.43 gpa

for math/econ

since its NOT an impacted major the counsellor from UCLA said it wud be cool

i’m sure you guys are fine.

haha easy for a 4.0 to say

its only a 3.83 because i went to UCSB for a year. its a 4.0 for the 39 semester units i’ve taken at community college though.

oh okay. i thought i remembered seeing 4.0 somewhere before. but still, that’s definitely way above average admitted.

Well, if ones having extremely high GPA and completed cal I &II, plus econ I&II, missing a few upper division classes are fine.

jetforce, what’s wrong with UCSB ??

ilivefree “not being a wet blanket, just providing data (i know i like knowing the stats i’m facing): Profile of Admitted Transfer Students by Major Fall 2008”

Yeah, i should have looked into this before applying and changed my major to Russian studies or something that had 100% admitted from applicants! shhhoooott…nonetheless, interesting numbers…
