<p>mcgill says that they don't taking into consideration freshman year grades for applicants from us schools... so does that mean that they only look at the applicants sophomore and junior grades? because that seems like it wouldn't be enough information. also, how exactly do they factor sat scores into their decision?</p>

<p>I don't really know about the US, but in Canada most universities (including McGill) only look at your junior and 1st senior grades (our HS also is mostly just 10-12... grade 9 is still middle school here). I guess for Americans they use the SAT scores too (no idea how sorry). No EC's, no recs none of that unless you'er applying for a scholarship.</p>
