<p>Wow I was there in April and don’t remember the slick marketing campaign. Saw the dorms (smallish, older), saw the city (street people), saw the students (all different kinds). </p>

<p>Go to your dorm events - that’s probably the most important. The people you’ll be living with for the year are your most likely source of friends. It’s much easier to hang out with someone in a minutes notice if they’re right next door.</p>
<p>^ good advice. My hallmates and I last year didn’t have a lot in common really, but still hung out almost every night just watching tv or talking about stuff. It’s very easy to find someone in your dorm you get along with and can hang out with often.</p>
