A lot of people seem to be posting their high school resumes on as a message board. I'd just like to remind everyone that no one is guaranteed admission into P-ton. There have been cases where the people with the most amazing resumes have been denied admission. It's not so much about what you have, it's what you can put together knowing what you have. So you're ranked number one in your class, have a 2400, 5s, president of every honor society and a nationally known athlete.

What Princeton wants to know, as do all other colleges...is

Of course. The "What are my chances" threads are mostly pointless because students are not qualified to judge each other's chances, and the OP seldom takes other people's opinions seriously anyway. If they are intent on applying, no matter how many people tell them they have they chance, they will do it anyway.

I just put my stuff up for the heck of it. It helps me to see it all onscreen; I had no idea my ECs were so long before, so now I know how to cut back and refocus. I guess essays are the key, then.

No offense, but I'm so tired of these threads.

We know... it's competitive at all these schools, there's no such thing as a sure thing, the Ivies are reaches for everyone, admissions are so unpredictable...

We get beat over our heads with that on this site, and if people haven't yet realized that no one's guarenteed admission at princeton, then they have no business on Princeton's forum because they are STUPID!

So thank you for your whole omniscient, sobering post, it's greatly appreciated.

niely said you guys. I totally agree, that's all I have seen since i have been coming to this site 3 years ago my freshman year. I think Princeton is an awesome school. from what I know if your resume is the bom digadee dom you can get in on a 18 in your ACT or 900/1600 on your SAT. I have one department of prin looking at me. I think that's a good start despite my scores

I didn't write that first message in order to discourage people from applying or anything of the sort. I wasn't implying in anyway that Princeton better or worse than any other school. Sure it's great that everyone has all these great things to but on their resume. I'm just trying to point out that the best prospective students know how to weave everything they did in high school together. My point of this message board was to help people use everything they have and then put it altogether for the college. I'm sorry if people got the impression that I was making a "omniscient, sobering post"

I think we are all just getting tense what with half of us going to college in what, 2, 3 weeks? and all the new prospies coming in... i feel old.

Prettyfish, I know exactly what you mean. We're beginning to lose our grip on this forum, haha. 'tis sad, 'tis sad. But just think, we'll all get to play Let's-Go-to-Princeton in real life in a couple of weeks :D

same here phil and prettyfish. sobs we're still here to help, little ones. However, I'm still relieved that this whole nail-biting stressful admission biz is over - for undergrad anyway, as litho pointed out.
