No guessing penalty?

I heard there is not a guessing penalty any more in AP tests (meaning they don't take 1/4 of a point off for a wrong answer in the multiple choice). Is this for ALL AP exams? Or which ones does this apply to??

I believe that it’s true for all of them.

It’s for all of them.

Wait so they got rid of the no guessing thing!?

^Just for AP exams. The penalty is still in effect for SAT and Subject Tests.

The AP Art History exam has 115 multiple choice questions. And a good amount of people don’t know a lot of questions on that exam. So now we just keep on guessing…I guess. lol

Oh, and also, are the general curves for each exam affected by this?

The curves will change.

will the curves change for the better or for the worse?

cant u use your logical reasoning skills to deduce it?

Well, for the AP Art History multiple choice, because of the broad scope of the course, a lot of students will see paintings that were just not covered in the class. When you’re dealing with something you’ve really never talked about, it’s hard to didactically approach the right answer even with a strong art background and 4 choices. I think that’s why the curve is so friendly because it’s a relatively tough exam. Now, since we have to guess, things change. But this relates to the APAH exam. I think for APUSH it will be better because sometimes I use my own thinking on a test or ap practice exam and most of the time I get it right.
