Its been hard and frustrating for me since I’m a non US citizen. I have been attending schools in the US since elementary. Its really hard to get in to any colleges I have been looking at because I’m considered an international student everywhere and tuition can be so pricy! My grades aren’t stellar either, my GPA unweighted is a 3.6 and my class rank is of 27%. I still have one more year to bump them up but I know if I had a 10% ranking I would have a more likely chance to be admitted. I took the ACT and got a 25 but will be retaking it for a 30 (at least). I have participated in sports like swimming & volunteered a lot at my local center. Thanks for all your help!
3 questions: 1) What is your home state; 2) Does your school use Naviance?; and, 3) can you ballpark how much you’ll have to spend each year?
Home state is Ohio, I don’t know what naviance is,(sorry!) & around 10-30k annually.
You should have a good chance at Miami University. You are not considered an Ohio resident?
Are you a permanent resident? Many schools distinguish between eligible on-citizens and international students when it come to financial aid.
Wright State might be a good option. Very good program depending on your majjor.
