No idea what I should study!!!

I’m a junior in high school atm and I’ll be starting to apply for colleges next year. For a long time I’ve had a plan to become a Pharmacist through a 6 year pharmacy program like St. John’s or liu. I know it’s expensive but I planned on taking a loan. Now I’m not sure if I should do pharmacy because I heard a lot of people drop out after the first two years into the program. I’m thinking about Nursing or PA programs but I’m not really that much of a people person and I don’t want to come into contact with patients. I want to do something in the healthcare field but I’m just so confused right now. Any tips would be helpful!

That’s perfectly fine . . . and really the most normal, healthiest place to be. You’re supposed to be exploring possibilities in your mind, in the classroom, and in the world. I know 50-year-olds who are doing the same . . . and some older.

Just think about what general possibilities you are looking toward, and try to find a place that will give you some flexibility in figuring out your own path and how to navigate it. You can change in directions in college and grad school may be a possibility. Just keep exploring–gauging where your interests are, how you can learn more about them, and figuring out which people make you your best self. Good luck!

Perfectly normal to be confused. I’m 36 and just figured this out. Attempted clinical medical assisting, totally not for me. But its something I had to experience to understand. Administrative would have been a decent fit but clinical was a huge nope. You have plenty of time so theres no need to stress over it now but I would advise you think about your interests and things you do that bring you joy then try to find a major that has some similarities.
