No idea where I want to transfer to and credits are becoming an issue

Hi transfer students,

I am currently facing a dilemma because I have no idea about what major I want to do nor what college I want to attend. During the fall season, I will attending Miramar college but credits are becoming a huge issue for me. I can either take my GE’s right now or take my major classes. They both might seem like reasonable choices, but some of my AP credits (Calc 2) do not not transfer to some schools (UCI). Currently most of the Calc 2 classes are filled at the colleges, but I could take calc 3 since some schools accept the credit (UCR,UCSD,etc). If I end up taking Calc 2 again then I might be transferring late because I want to specific teacher for my major classes (the hardest teachers possible that will prepare me for uni). This engenders another problem because specific schools have specific transfer classes I need to take in order to be accepted into the uni. I could rant for longer, but I hope you get the situation I am in. No clue on major and schools either (looking at stem majors)

TLDR: I regret not going to uni even if I got accepted =(. I got myself into a bad situation because I am starting cc with pre earned credits that might not transfer to some schools.

All I’m going to say is try not to take out of sequence. If you take Calc 3, then determine you need Calc 2 and take it, you’ll get the subject credit but not the unit credit because you are out of sequence. It may or may not be an issue.

If you think you might need Calc 2 anywhere just bite the bullet and take it again before Calc 3.
