I know Rice is my first choice, but I don't have any safeties or alternatives. I am stuck.
I am not particularly interested in the usual alternatives-ivies (except maybe Cornell), Duke, Emory. The attraction is not the South per se, its the school.
What I am looking for:
Coed
Well rounded programs, as I am not 100% sure what I want to study.
I am not super into partying, but I can deal as long as there are alternatives.
I will need good financial aid.
Bigger than 2,000 and smaller than 15,000 students.
Kind of quirky student body
Not dominated by the Greek system

3.9 gpa uw. No weighted, but I will have either 5 or 6 APs when I graduate
31 ACT

I am open to any other suggestions! I don't care if the school is a reach or not. Thanks!

YOu may want to check out UChicago, WashU, Grinnell and Haverford (despite the size), or potentially Brown, although you indicated that you were not interested much by Ivies.

There are really tons of schools that match what you’re looking for, so just look around and you’ll find schools you like. For there are a whole lot of LAC’s that could work as safeties if the small size isn’t too big of an issue

Rice is most known for its math/sciences. Is that why you are interested in it? Its not the place people go to study English or History for the most part.
