NO improvement

I've been studying for SATs and taking practice tests for at least two months now and i have had absolutely NO improvement. it's mainly math that's weighing me down and some of the critical reading passages.

i just really find it hard to believe that after two months of using barron's, PR, and accelerated classes i have made no improvement at all...does anyone have any suggestions for me in time for my test? i'm taking the Dec 6th one...

1) you could send a smarter proxy
2) you could fake dyslexia and get 6.5 hrs
3) you could bribe the center people
4) you could try solving the practise exercised and reading explanations of how to solve the SAT sections

Unlike the SAT, out here, any of the options can be correct

Well, if you’re just taking a bunch of practice tests without looking really reviewing it and seeing what you did wrong, you’re not going to improve. CR is usually the hardest to improve, I think, and the best way is to just read as much as possible and memorize a lot of vocab words. Math is easiest to improve, just because a lot of the problems are sort of the same. Figure out which ones you keep missing (is it the geometry? random algebra mistakes? etc) and then try to just focus in on getting better at that.

If you have been doing this, then I really don’t know what to tell you. Maybe try not to be as nervous and stressed out when you take it?

I had the same problem as you. My score never seemed to be going up, even after a month of practice. Then I realized that a 2400 was the max score already.

^real funny…

with critical reading it’s usually the abstract questions i get wrong (“The author conveys what in the passage?”) and with math, i get all the geometry ones right, it’s just stupid algebra mistakes like forgetting to add 1 and then the stuff that’s like “solve for x in terms of y”…those are the worst…

■■■■■ khoi! =]

Hahahaha funny stuff.

CR is my enemy. but i’m gonna embrace and then bribe it so that it’ll be nice to me tomorrow

stupid math errors are driving me crazy…every time I make such silly mistakes I wanna eat the test paper

K…there’s a lot of posts around talking about the time, but they are all contradictory. Most people are saying 5AM FOR EAST, 2AM FOR WEST. But then:
“To view your scores on the Web, click the View and Send Scores button above and sign in to visit your My SAT after 8 a.m. Eastern Time on or after the dates listed above. From there you can see your entire score history and a history of all score recipients to which you have previously sent scores. Please note that a small number of scores take longer to report and may not be available on the dates listed here.”

It says 8am EST…so that means 5am Pacific Time?

What time can i view my score if I live in California, USA?

^forget about time zones. it’s 5.5 hours to go, trust me
