No Interview for Middlesex!?!?

So, I was just browsing through the admissions section on the Middlesex website, and I came to this part:

• An interview is not required, but strongly recommended. We do not offer off-campus interviews, and Skype interviews are offered only by invitation of the Admissions Committee.

I live on the west coast, so how do I get an "invitation" to have an interview? Also, how will it affect my chances of acceptance if no interview is performed? Sort of, kind of, most definitely freaking out...

I live far away too and I was wondering about this as well. I think they will only invite you to am interview if you are a peculiar applicant. I wouldn’t worry about but the best thing to do is to ask an admissions officer. Ive asked questions and they’ve been very patient about responding to emails.(this applies to all the schools I was looking into) also have you asked all your teachers for recs? I was wondering about the foreign language one, because my Spanish teacher doesn’t know me that well. I got the sense that it wasn’t completely mandatory.

Well, since this posting, I e-mailed the director of admissions my questions, and he said he would be happy to conduct a skype interview with me (phew). As for teacher recs, I’m hoping to give them to my teachers on Friday. I say just give it to your Spanish teacher (i think it will possibly look worse if you give another teacher the recommendation because you feel the one they require won’t give you to best recommendation). Whatever happens, happens. : )

I was going to ask my spanish teacher, but she went out of town and left school early! What should I do, should I email and ask her or should I wait until after break?
